Family:
My wife Allison and I were drawn to Los Gatos by its small-town feel and by the highly rated schools of the Los Gatos Union School District. Our three children were raised here from infancy through college graduation; we experienced Van Meter, Fisher, and Los Gatos High School along the way.

Education:
I hold a B.S. in Electronic Engineering and an M.S. in Computer Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, attaining membership in Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu engineering honor societies. Early education was in the public schools of Crescent City, CA.

Profession:
While a grad student at Cal Poly, I taught beginning computer science courses in the CS department. My engineering career has been in the computer industry in Silicon Valley, primarily in storage and storage encryption/security. I presently work at NetApp, Inc. in San Jose, CA, with previous experience at companies now known as Unisys, HP, and Apple.

Community Service:
While the children were young, I served on the Board of Trustees of LGUSD from 1990-2000, and again from 2016-2024. I was the Advancement Chairman of Los Gatos Boy Scout Troop 539 from 2008-2011. From 2012-2018, I served on the board of a private religious education institute in Berkeley, CA.  In several congregations of which we have been a part, I have been active in the music ministry, variously serving as the church organist, pianist, choir member/director, and head chanter.
